privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Smart Launcher & AI Tools (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you install or use the Android application identified by package name Smart.Launcher.AI.Tools on Google Play.
Contact / privacy requests:
Email: smartlauncheraitools@gmail.com
Website: https://smartlauncheraitools.blogspot.com/
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and stop using it.
2. Scope
This Policy covers:
- The Android launcher home experience and built-in tools shipped inside the App;
- Advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and configuration services used by the App;
- Optional features that process photos, videos, audio, location, or URLs you choose to provide;
- Permissions requested on Android and why they are needed.
It does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites, social networks, or apps you open from the launcher, WebView, browser, or download features. Those services have their own policies.
3. Summary of our practices (Google Play Data Safety aligned)
| Category | What happens in this App |
|---|---|
| Account / login | We do not require you to create an account with us to use the App. |
| Personal info you type | Notes, todos, browser history, downloads history, and similar content are stored on your device (unless a feature you use explicitly sends data to a third-party API). |
| Photos / videos / audio | Processed on-device for gallery, editors, recorder, vault, collage, and similar tools. Optional AI caption / hashtag features send images you select to OpenAI. |
| Location | Approximate/precise location may be used for optional weather. Approximate region (country/state/city) may be derived from IP for ad configuration. |
| App activity & diagnostics | Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may collect usage and crash diagnostics. |
| Advertising | Google AdMob may show ads and collect advertising identifiers and related device data under Google’s policies. |
| Children | App is not directed to children under 13 (see Section 14). |
4. Information we collect
4.1 Information stored on your device (local)
Depending on features you use, the App may store locally:
- Launcher layout: home screen shortcuts, folders, dock apps, widgets, wallpaper preferences, hidden-from-home flags;
- Installed-app listing: labels and package/component identifiers needed to show and launch apps (read from the device package manager; not uploaded by us as an app catalog);
- Notes & todos: note/todo text, reminders, archive/trash state (Room database);
- Browser data: history and browser settings you choose to keep;
- Downloader history: records of media you downloaded through the App;
- Files / gallery / editors: access to media you select; edits saved to device storage / MediaStore;
- Hidden vault: PIN / security-question settings and references to hidden media (vault credentials are protected with Android security APIs; vault data is excluded from cloud backup);
- Clock / alarms / recorder / calculator history: local preferences and files you create;
- Web apps shortcuts: custom WebView shortcuts you add;
- Ad / config cache: cached ad configuration and install-referrer strings used for ads setup.
4.2 Information processed when optional features call network APIs
Only when you use the related feature (or when ads/config start):
- Media download helpers: media page URLs you paste/submit may be sent to our media-info API partner (RapidAPI-based Instagram/media info service) to resolve downloadable media links;
- AI Caption Generator / Hashtag Generator: images you choose may be converted and sent to OpenAI (
api.openai.com) to generate captions or hashtags; - Weather (Smart Hub): latitude/longitude may be sent to Open-Meteo forecast and air-quality APIs;
- In-app WebView / Browser: page requests go to the websites you visit; those sites may set cookies or collect data under their own policies;
- Legal pages: Privacy Policy / Terms pages may load from our Blogspot URLs inside an in-app WebView.
4.3 Advertising, analytics, crash, and configuration data
The App integrates third-party services that may automatically collect:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): advertising ID / app set ID (where available), IP address, device & app info, ad interaction data, and approximate location derived by Google, to serve and measure ads;
- Google Play Install Referrer: install referrer string (campaign attribution) may be read and stored locally and sent to our ad-configuration backend;
- IP-based geolocation (ipinfo.io): public IP may be used to estimate country / region / city for ad configuration;
- ShadeAdmin / ad config server: package name, app version, install referrer (“user”), approximate geo fields, timestamp, and nonce may be sent to our configuration endpoint to retrieve ad units and related settings;
- Firebase Analytics: app events, device/app identifiers used by Firebase, and usage metrics;
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash stacks, device model, OS version, app version, and similar diagnostics (including custom keys such as application id / version name).
4.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
- Government ID numbers;
- Payment card data (purchases, if any, are handled by Google Play);
- Precise contacts list or SMS content (the App is not a contacts/SMS backup tool);
- Health or fitness data;
- User account passwords for third-party social networks (logins inside WebView are between you and that website).

6. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the launcher and built-in tools;
- Save your layout, preferences, notes, media edits, and downloads history on device;
- Show ads and retrieve remote ad configuration;
- Measure stability and usage (Analytics / Crashlytics) to fix bugs and improve the App;
- Provide optional AI caption/hashtag generation and weather;
- Comply with law, Google Play policies, and enforce our Terms;
- Respond to support and privacy requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Google LLC / AdMob / Play services / Firebase: ads, analytics, crash reporting, Play billing/attribution where applicable — subject to Google Privacy Policy and AdMob policies;
- OpenAI: image content you submit for caption/hashtag generation — subject to OpenAI’s terms and privacy policy;
- RapidAPI / media-info providers: media URLs you submit for download resolution;
- ipinfo.io: IP lookup for approximate geo used in ad configuration;
- Open-Meteo: coordinates for weather;
- Our ShadeAdmin configuration host: package name, version, referrer, approximate geo for ad config;
- Websites you visit in Browser/WebView;
- Authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the service.
Service providers process data only to provide their services to the App. We do not share your on-device notes vault contents with advertisers.
8. Advertising
The App displays ads using Google AdMob. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized based on Google’s systems, your device settings, and applicable law.
- You can reset/opt out of personalized ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads (wording may vary by device).
- You can limit ad tracking where the OS provides that control.
- Ad configuration may use install referrer and approximate IP-based location.
- We do not control every creative served by ad networks; report inappropriate ads via Google’s tools where available.
If you are in a region that requires consent for personalized ads (for example EEA/UK), use the in-system/Google consent options presented on your device and Google’s ad settings. Continuing to use the App after ads initialize means ads may be shown as permitted by policy and your choices.
9. On-device AI / media processing
- Background remover, collage, photo/video editors, trim/compress/convert: primarily on-device processing (including OpenCV where used). Output is saved locally unless you share it.
- Hidden vault: designed to keep selected media private on device; protected by PIN and optional biometrics; excluded from Android Auto Backup / device transfer rules we configure.
- Recorder: audio is captured and stored locally when you record.
10. Media downloader & third-party platforms
Download features may contact third-party APIs with URLs you provide. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and download that content and that your use complies with platform terms (for example Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and copyright law. We do not claim ownership of content you download. See our Terms for copyright rules.
11. Data retention
- On-device data: retained until you delete it in-app, clear app storage, or uninstall;
- Ads / Analytics / Crashlytics: retained by Google / Firebase according to their retention schedules;
- OpenAI / RapidAPI / weather / IP lookup: retained by those providers under their policies; we do not operate long-term server copies of your notes or vault;
- Ad config requests: may be logged by our configuration host for security, fraud prevention, and operations for a limited period.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to a consumer Android app, including HTTPS for network calls, Android sandboxing, optional biometric/device-credential locks for sensitive notes/vault, and EncryptedSharedPreferences-style protections where implemented for vault secrets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13. Your choices and rights
- Revoke permissions in Android Settings;
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove local App data;
- Reset advertising ID / opt out of ads personalization in Google settings;
- Disable notifications, exact alarms, or location for the App in system settings;
- Request information about privacy practices by emailing us (Section 1).
Depending on your region (for example GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because most personal content stays on your device, the fastest deletion method is clearing app data or uninstalling. For data held by Google/OpenAI/other processors, we will help where reasonably possible or direct you to their tools.
14. Children’s privacy (Google Play Families / COPPA)
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Do not use the App to target children with personalized ads in violation of Google Play policies.
15. International transfers
Our processors (including Google, OpenAI, and API hosts) may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to servers outside your country, which may have different data-protection laws.
16. Third-party links and WebViews
The App can open third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review each site’s policy before signing in or sharing information.
17. Data backup
Android Auto Backup may back up some app data. We configure exclusions for hidden-vault credentials and vault databases/files so those sensitive items are not included in cloud backup / device transfer where our rules apply. Other preferences may still be backed up by the OS.
18. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or Google Play requirement changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy. Material changes may also be noted on our Blogspot page or Play Store listing.
19. Google Play requirements statement
This Policy is intended to satisfy Google Play’s requirement that apps provide a prominent privacy policy disclosing data collection and sharing, including for advertising and analytics SDKs, sensitive permissions, and user rights. Our Play Console Data Safety form should be completed consistently with this Policy.
